About Amanda Wideman
Amanda Wideman is a Canadian trauma-informed coach, artist, and former paramedic whose life was profoundly transformed by a near-death experience (NDE) in 2017. While returning from a music festival in British Columbia, her vehicle was involved in a severe accident, flipping and landing upside down on a concrete guardrail. In that moment, Amanda surrendered to what she believed was the end, only to encounter a profound sense of peace and a loving, timeless presence she describes as “home”.This pivotal experience led Amanda to reevaluate her life’s direction. She left her 13-year career as a paramedic, sold her home, and embarked on a journey of spiritual and personal exploration. Embracing practices such as plant medicine ceremonies, meditation, and fasting, she sought deeper understanding and connection. Today, Amanda channels her insights into her work as a trauma-informed coach and shares her story to inspire others. About Bill Tortorella
Bill Tortorella is an author, artist, and former paramedic whose life was transformed by a profound near-death experience (NDE) in 1994. While working at a trade show in Tucson, Arizona, he contracted a severe illness that led to his NDE. During this experience, he encountered three guardian angels who imparted to him nine principles of enlightenment—messages centered on love, unity, and spiritual awakening. Prior to this life-altering event, Tortorella had a diverse career. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from the School of Art and Design in Manhattan and worked as a commercial artist. He later became a paramedic in Miami during the turbulent 1970s, a period marked by the rise of the “Cocaine Cowboys.”Following his NDE, Tortorella authored The Ninth Level of Enlightenment: The Wisdom of the Light and Choices: Messages of Love to Change the Outcome, aiming to share the insights he received and inspire others toward personal and collective transformation.
