NDE Researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long
Dr. Jeffrey Long is a leading near-death experience (NDE) researcher. He founded the Near Death Experience Research Foundation (, and two other web sites devoted to experiences related to NDE, After Death Communication Research Foundation ( and Out of Body Experience Research Foundation ( Dr. Long also serves on the Physician Advisory Committee of IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies ( and Chairs the IANDS Research Committee. This family of web sites is the largest publicly accessible collection of exceptional human experiences of their type available. This is leading to increasing awareness that worldwide and across cultural boundaries we all share these types of experiences, and they are similar to a degree that is medically inexplicable.

NDE Andrew Petro
In 1955 Andrew Petro faced death; he would never be the same. He ate a light lunch, jumped in to the cold water with a belly flop. As he was swimming he began to cramp in his stomach and groin. He was drowning and gave into the voice that asked him to stop resisting death and promised he would return to life. He describes the experience in vivid detail. His senses were heightened. There was a bright light, much brighter than the sun. He was no longer in pain. The voice was one that brought comfort and reassuring strength. The light knew everything thing about him but offered no censure. Andy realized he was part of the light for it was encompassing. He never wanted to leave the light.
After his amazing near death experience, Andy had a desire to write. It actually went beyond desire; he was driven to write poetry. It was as though the poems were channeled through him. The poetry would come to him at night. He would wake up, begin to write, and within an hour the poem would be complete. The poetry seemed to serve a purpose . . . to help him remember the details of his NDE (Near Death Experience).

NDE Bevery Brodsky
My name is Beverly Brodsky. I died twice — once as a child and once as an adult — and glimpsed what it is like on the other side of life. My adult NDE has been published in six books, most notably in Dr. Kenneth Ring and Evelyn Elsaesser’s Lessons from the Light. My childhood experience is in PMH Atwater’s The New Children and the NDE. For two years I was on the founding Board of Directors of a new non-profit, ACISTE (the American Center for the Integration of Spiritually Transformative Experiences) and also an IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) group leader for over 20 years. I am a minister in the LA (or Dodona) Community Church of Religious Science. I worked as a systems and business analyst for the federal government for 28 years. It has actually been 40 years since my adult radiant NDE.

NDE Tommy Rosa & Dr. Stephen Sinatra
In 1999, Bronx-born plumber Tommy Rosa died after being the victim of a hit-and-run incident. Lying by the road, he felt a tug whisking him off into a tunnel of light. He found himself in a blessed place. He was shown that God created the Earth to nourish and heal mankind and that our sense of separation from each other and the divine is of our own making. He met his Divine Teacher and received a series of profound lessons – Eight Revelations about the nature of Heaven and Earth. Tommy returned to Earth with a heightened sense of connection to one and all. But the bliss of Heaven was quickly replaced by a long and painful recovery, and Tommy struggled to make sense of all that he had learned. Around the same time, Dr Stephen Sinatra, an integrative cardiologist, was revolutionizing his medical practice with a holistic approach to treatment. When a chance meeting brought the two men together, they gradually came to realize that the revelations of healing Tommy gleaned from his near-death experience aligned with the groundbreaking results Dr Sinatra was seeing in his own practice and scientific research.

NDE Howard Storm
Howard Storm is a former atheist and art professor and chairman of the art department at the Northern Kentucky University. He is best known as the author of “My Descent Into Death” which details his near-death experience. Storm’s NDE is regarded as one of the most complete accounts of distressing near-death experiences ever recorded. It includes dramatic encounters with evil spirits, a trip to hell, a rescue by Jesus, and extensive conversations with Jesus and a group of angels. Storm’s NDE has been cited frequently in near-death studies literature. His book was originally published in 2000 and re-published as a hardback book in 2005. Storm has told his story to numerous audiences and appeared on NBC’s Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, 48 Hours, Discovery Channel and Coast to Coast AM. Storm was so deeply affected by his near-death experience that he resigned from Northern Kentucky University and became a United Church of Christ minister.

NDE Erica McKenzie
Erica McKenzie had her near-death experience in 2002. She was 31 years old. Ridiculed as a pre-teen for her appearance, Erica turned to bulimia and became addicted to diet pills. After nine years of compromising her health, she finally collapsed on the floor unconscious. Erica left her body and floated up to the ceiling where she watched paramedics take her body to the ambulance. Then she went through a tunnel of light, met God, experienced two life reviews, and was shown that everyone has special gifts and purposes

NDE Nanci Danison
I died March 14, 1994, but decided to return to human life to share what I could remember of the wonders I experienced and truths I learned in the afterlife. At the time of my death, I had been an attorney practicing law in a large regional law firm for 17 years as a litigator in the labor and employment law areas, and as a transactional lawyer in the health law field. I brought my training and skills as a trial lawyer to the evidence I encountered and challenged within the afterlife. It took years for me to recover from the breast cancer scare and trauma of having died, and to assimilate the new knowledge that completely gutted my former Catholic belief system. Then the memories started flooding my mind, impacting me as though I were still in the afterlife. As quickly as I could, I committed those memories to paper, eventually publishing three books, more than twenty CD or DVD sets, and twenty-some YouTube videos to date. I have published these materials to fulfill the burning desire I felt while in the afterlife to tell everyone who would listen that life and death are far simpler and glorious than we could ever imagine. We are not what we think we are and our lives as humans are a tiny tip of the iceberg of our eternal existence. My books explain in plain and understandable language the who, what, why and how of all of Creation in a comprehensive, logical model of life that resonates deeply within us as spiritual beings.
