PRODUCER TALKING POINTS:

We’re diving headfirst off a 100 foot board into two feet of shallow water with our topic of discussion which is the metaphysical & spiritual meaning behind abortion. Tonight’s show is not to debate whether or not abortion is right or wrong but to explore it’s deeper meaning.

We’re going to talk to six experts tonight and they include our Virtues: Kerrie O’Connor, Laura Lyn, Lisa Caza, and Constance Stellas as well as two Gina Cloud and Michael Hichborn

In the course of my life there were periods of time when I was entrenched & emotionally invested in both being against abortion & being for abortion. Having previously been passionate about both sides of the issue I feel has been a blessing and helped me to understand clearer the pro abortion & anti-abortion points of view

I understand why people are against abortion. They feel it is a legalized act murder against a defenseless life. They feel it is an affront to god and I think they feel that by accepting this truth and by not doing anything about, they probably feel that they are failing god. They feel it is a moral obligation to fight. It seems religion is a driving force in this position however, there are many individuals who are atheist, agnostic or even spiritual who do not condone his.

People who are against abortion like to refer to themselves as Pro-Life and I understand that. However, I can’t understand how anyone who supports war of any kind or the killing of another human being can truly claim to be pro-life. Some individuals who are against abortion do support war and I think those that do should be called “Partial-Life” – partially in favor of certain life.

I understand why people are in favor of abortion. They want women who seek to have an abortion to have access to safe & competent medical care & facilities and not have to put their own lives at risk and getting an abortion performed by an unlicensed medical professional. They feel what a woman does with her body is no one’s else business but her own and they do not wish to be infringed upon a religious authority & or societal authority.

People who are in favor of abortion like to refer to themselves as Pro-Choice and I understand that. However, I can’t understand how anyone can truly be pro-choice if the are in favor of any kind of law that restricts what a person can do their own body like taking drugs or engaging in prostitution. I can’t understand how a person can claim to be pro-choice and yet support any law, any organization, or any leader for that matter that imposes restrictions upon what a person can say, think or do as long as they are not harming another human being. I think those that do should be called “Partial-Choice” – partially infavor of certain individuals rights to make certain choices.

At this point of my life, I neither support nor condone abortion. Kind of think of it like the sky – it’s there and it’s going away anytime soon.
I want to pose this question to people who are for and against this issue.

If one day you woke up and abortion was completely banned everywhere, what direct impact would that have on your life?

If one day you woke up and abortion was available everywhere, what direct impact would that have on your life?

Let us begin tonight’s show.
